GECR organizes and runs service trips in Costa Rica for groups of all ages. Trips through GECR are unique because they target areas of greatest need in local communities and focus on Service Work rather than tourism and sight-seeing. Whether you are planning a service trip through your school, your church, your work, or your family and friends, GECR has a trip for everyone.

Allendale Columbia students in Costa Rica
GECR was inspired by two students' experiences on a service trip through the Allendale Columbia School in Rochester, NY.

​Letter to the Educators​
GECR is particularly focused on engaging young people in Community Service overseas. Engaging in this sort of work with one's peers and teachers can be a life-changing and bonding experience in which students and educators can learn from each other. GECR is reaching out to all educators, stressing the importance of engaging students as global citizens. Please read our letter to the educators and share it with educators in your area!
